The effects of the financial crisis witnessed by the world during the second half of 2008 continued well into 2009. NIC reported a net loss of KD 5.07 million and a loss per share of 6 fils during the 9 months ended 30 September 2009. After registering a loss of KD 3.86 million during the 1st quarter, a profit of KD 5.31 million and a loss of KD 6.52 million was reported during the 2nd and 3rd quarters of 2009, respectively.

The effects of economic crisis spilled well into the 1st quarter of 2009. NIC reported a loss of KD 3.86 million and a loss per share of 5 fils during the 1st quarter of 2009.

During the third quarter ending 30th September 2008, NIC continued to focus on building its core business areas and expanding and diversifying its products and services aimed at generating superior returns. NIC reported net profits of KD 42,427,000 and EPS of 50 fils for the Q3 2008.
