Fahad Abdulrahman Al Mukhaizim

Mr. Fahad Al Mukhaizim Currently he is Board Member and Chief Executive Officer at National Investments Company since 2022, he held many key leadership positions within NIC from 2001 until today. Graduated with bachelor’s degree in business administration with a major in Finance and Banking from Kuwait University, and an MBA from Cleveland State University, Ohio, USA.

Mr. Fahad Al Mukhaizim has an extensive experience in Local and Arab Investments, Asset Management and Direct Investments fields.

Mr. Fahad Al Mukhaizimis currently the Chairman at: Kuwait Clearing Company, Arkan Al-Kuwait Real Estate Company, Shorouq Pack Company for packaging Materials & Plastic cards, Also a Vice Chairman at: OSOS Holding Group Company, Kuwait Emirates Holding Company, A’amal Holding Compnay, Al-Waseet Financial Business Company, Kiwan Real Estate Company, OSOS United Real Estate Group Company, Tagzia Group Company, Kayan Real Estate Development Company, He is a Board member at: Umm Al Qaiwain General Investments Company, United Company for Investment & Real Estate Development (Almuttahed), He is Partner-Manager at Al Nugoua for General Trading Company, Partner at National Investments Company Holding, and General Manager at National Investment Company Lebanon Holding.

Mr. Fahad Al Mukhaizim previously was a Vice Chairman at Al Safat Investment company, Board Member of Wethaq Takaful Insurance Company, First Investment Company and Al-Safwa Group Holding Company, Danah Al-Safat Food stuff Company. And worked as a Local Investment Officer at Kuwait Foreign Trading Contracting & Investment Co. (KFTCIC), he also worked as a Senior Investment Analyst - Local & Arab Investments at WAFRA International Investment Company, and an Investment Supervisor at Axceuas Investment Company - OHIO.

Hamad S. Al Humaidi
CEO Consultant

Mr. Hamad Al Humaidi is the CEO Consultant at National Investments Company. Mr. Hamad was graduated in 1999 with BBA in Finance, from Seattle University, Washington, USA.

Mr. Hamad has started his career as Financial Analyst in the Research Department at NIC. On the other hand, he has served in several key positions and involved in many key decision making activities. Mr. Hamad has played a leading role in developing many of NIC’s investment products including Investment portfolios, establishing & managing investment funds which are Al Wataniya, Al Safwa, Al Darij, Zajil, Mawarid, and Al Mada fund. Previously, Mr. Hamad was a board member of First Education Company (2009-2012) and Boubyan International Holding Company (2004-2016) Gulf Investment House (2011-2014) and First Investment Company (2014-2018)

AlMuthana M. Al Maktoum
Managing Director

Mr. AlMuthana Al Maktoum is Managing Director, Wealth Management Sector. He graduated with a BBA in Finance from Kuwait University, He also has Executive Education Certificate from Harvard University.

Mr. Al Maktoum started his career in the research department at National Investments Company. He has worked at NIC for almost 16 years and has served several positions in the MENASS. Having such a strong and a deep working knowledge, analytical and research experience, he headed the Asset Management Department at MENASS previously. He was responsible to lead the Investment Funds such as Al Wataniya, Al Darij, Zajil, Mawarid, and Al Mada fund, and the Investment Portfolio’s which includes discretionary and non-discretionary clients.

In addition, Mr. AlMuthana sits on the boards of companies such as MENA Capital Holding (Since 2009) and holds Executive board member position at Kuwait Foundry (Since May 2019) Vice Chairman of Egyption Kuwaiti Foundry . Previously, he held a position of Chairman of Osos Holding Group Co (2014-2016), Al-Waseet Financial Business Co. (2017-2018),  board member position in First Investment Co. (2011-2012), Ijara Housing Holding Co. (2011-2014), A’amal Holding Co. (2007-2009) and First Real Estate Investment Co. (2005-2011)

Mr. Bashar Khan
Managing Director

Mr. Bashar Khan is the Managing Director of Investment Banking at National Investments Company.  Bashar holds a dual BSc degree in Accounting and Finance (2006) from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. 
He is also a CFA Charterholder, and a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).  

Prior to joining NIC, Bashar has worked at National Petroleum Services Company (NAPESCO), Kuwait Financial Centre (Markaz) and KPMG, Chicago. During his career span of over 15 years, Bashar has successfully executed numerous transactions including executing mergers and acquisitions, restructuring companies, raising capital for companies, preparing feasibility studies for projects, developing valuation studies, and developing and implementing strategies for clients. He has also managed an Oil & Gas Private Equity Fund. 

Sulaiman A. AlDerbas
Managing Director

Mr. Sulaiman A. AlOmar AlDerbas is Managing Director of the Strategy Sector at National Investments Company with over 15 years of experience in investment and strategic asset management and planning.
Mr. Alderbas started his career as junior analyst at Wafra Inc. in New York City then spent 7 years in the hedge funds team at Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED) as Chief Investment Analyst. Most recently, he spent 8 years at the Public Institution for Social Security (PIFSS) and was head of Alternative Investments where he led investments in absolute and return enhancing strategies as well as strategic partnerships.
During his time, he was the chairman of Al-Rawdatain Water Bottling Co., vice chairman of Qaroh PET Products Co., and vice chairman of Wafra Real Estate Co.. Mr. Alderbas also represented PIFSS in multiple LPACs and fund directorships, as well as, strategic committee member of Capital Constellation.
Mr. Alderbas earned a BS with honors in Accounting and Management, minor in finance, from Purdue University

Sayid M N Al Mashhoor
Treasury & International Securities Sector

Mr. Sayid has held the position of Senior Vice President - FX & Money Market, (Treasury & International Securities Sector) at NIC since 1997, where he covers and manages the company’s Local and Foreign currencies Cash Flows and Foreign Exchange Trading. Mr. Sayid holds a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration and a Diploma in Finance from International Management Institute, Geneva. Additionally, Mr. Sayid was trained from Swiss Banking Corporation (UBS), Zurich and Citibank, London in the areas of Foreign Exchange, Money Market, Currency Hedging and various types of Option Trading. Mr. Sayid started his career in the Treasury Department as Senior FX & Money Market Trader with one of the leading financial Institution (KFTCIC) in Kuwait, which merged with presently known as Kuwait Investment Company (KIC).

Amro Sarhan
Executive Director

Mr. Amro Sarhan is a distinguished finance professional with an extensive experience of over 15 years in asset management, investment strategy, quantitative and fundamental analysis and market research over all GCC markets. He oversees strategic decisions, market research, and the identification of investment opportunities to enhance portfolios and funds’ performance.
Mr. Sarhan’s career is marked by progressive leadership roles within NIC, including his tenure as the Executive Director of the Portfolios and Funds Department and Senior Director of the Investment Portfolios Department. His responsibilities have encompassed formulating asset management strategies, guiding fund performance, and leading initiatives to achieve organizational growth and diversification.
Before his time at NIC, Mr. Sarhan honed his expertise as a Financial Analyst in advisory services at KPMG Kuwait, where he contributed to M&A advisory and evaluating and providing due diligence for different projects related to different sectors. His career began as an external auditor with RSM Albazie & Co., further solidifying his analytical and financial acumen.
Academically, Mr. Sarhan’s earned a Master of Finance from Saint Mary’s University in Canada and a bachelor’s degree in finance with a minor in Economics from the American University of Kuwait. His commitment to excellence is evidenced by his CFA designation and a reputation for driving innovation and delivering results in the dynamic field of financial and investment management.

Mohammed Baig
Senior Director

Mohammed Hussain Baig is a seasoned finance professional with over a decade of experience in financial planning, accounting, and audit. As Senior Director at the National Investments Company (NIC), he has been a key driver of financial strategy and operational optimization since joining the firm in 2016.
Prior to his role at NIC, Mr. Mohammed Hussain built a strong foundation in auditing through roles at prestigious global audit firms, including EY in Kuwait, as well as KPMG and BDO in India.
He holds a Master of Commerce degree from the University of Mumbai and is a proud member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). Mr. Hussain’s deep expertise and commitment to excellence have established him as a trusted leader in the finance and accounting sector.
