As part of its various responsibilities towards staff, NIC participated in a specialized training course entitled Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Training-2019.

The first of two available training sessions was attended by the first cohort of NIC staff members, who updated their knowledge on the latest policies and procedures in combating money laundering and the financing of terrorism.

National Investments Company organizes such courses annually for all employees of its various sectors, based on the responsibility of the senior management to develop staff knowledge and awareness about the most recent regulations and requirements of the Capital Markets Authority (CMA).

NIC is committed to keeping abreast of developments in the financial and economic sectors locally and internationally. This contributes to making employees more aware of advances in the field of combating money laundering.

The course was organized in coordination with Talent United, an expert company in this field, with a good record of accomplishment in AML training and other similar specialized courses.

The aim of the course is to improve the capabilities of employees and their ability to follow the latest developments in the money market, and deal with customers in line with international standards whilst addressing any concerns.

The training introduces participants to the methods used in money laundering and terrorist financing. It also aims to develop employees’ skills in dealing with clients with respect to AML, and highlight the indications of money laundering and terrorist financing.

At the end of the course, NIC management distributed certificates of completion to all course attendees.
